I used to use these Alameda plastic rattling corks when they came out years ago, as Alameda was the first and the best plastic rattling cork ever made. I can remember going to the store and actually picking every one they had up to rattle them to find the one that made the most and best noise. If you would keep these corks away from the soft plastic lures, they would last a very long time, but when the imitations came out, that was not the case. Not only would they not make nearly the sound of the Alameda corks, but they would often sink the first time I would use them. I can remember going to the big tackle stores and looking for the identifying patent number on the top, as there was no other brand that would come close. I always like the biggest (4.5 inch) ones as they make the most noise, and it is great to see that you can still buy the original Alameda!
