Pedersoli's Rolling Block rifles are fantastic reproductions of one of the most popular cartridge guns and great rival of the Sharps in its time. The special lock system, is certainly one of the safest, and was subsequently used all over the world.
Metal parts made of steel, produced in various calibers and different barrels lengths. All the models can be mounted with front tunnel sights with interchangeable inserts and with Creedmoor sights adjustable in elevation and windage

Produced with a round barrel, blue finish and the metal parts case hardened colour. Equipped with adjustable rear sight is available in different calibers idoneous for the hunting.

The 38-55 Winchester (38-55 Ballard) was introduced by Ballard as a target cartridge in 1884. It and the 32-40 were the original chamberings for the Winchester Model 1894 because, although the action was designed for smokeless powder, the 30-30 wasn't ready for release. The 38-55 uses a .379-inch bullet of 255 grains at 1320 feet per second. Although adequate for deer-sized game at short to medium ranges, the 38-55 was considered extremely accurate and often chambered in single-shot target rifles. Winchester dropped the cartridge for some years, but due to both demand for older rifles and reissues of classics Winchester brought the 38-55 back and continues to offer factory ammunition. Its rimmed case has been the basis for numerous later cartridges, including the 30-30 and 225 Winchester and the 22 Savage High Power. — Craig Boddington

Happy with the wepon on a whole but a little discouraged with the pictures being a little off. front sight in a modern sight and will require some Smith work to be what I need but doable. Also for a new weapon out of the box it was missing the rear sight riser. This is more of a manufacturer issue but disappointing none the same. I will use them again very helpful and timely transaction.
