Caliber Dictionary

The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
The 6.5 Creedmoor was introduced by Hornady in 2008. Uniquely, it was designed for accuracy with long-range competition in mind. Using a 308 Winchester (30 TC, 300 Savage) case shortened to 1.920 inches, it will feed through the shortest existing bolt actions, but remains supersonic to well beyond 1000 yards. Standard velocity is a 140-grain .264-inch bullet at 2820 fps, also making it an effective but mild-recoiling medium-range hunting cartridge. The 6.5 Creedmoor was introduced with little fanfare, but after it started winning matches shooters took notice. This is an unusual phenomenon for a cartridge to suddenly "take off" years after its introduction, but that's the story of the 6.5 Creedmoor--after about 2016 it became one of the most-talked-about cartridges, with both rifle and ammunition offerings expanding rapidly. — Craig Boddington

Okay, they like, wanted me to write a review for this here 6.5 Creedmoor rifle. Now I tell ya, the price couldn't be any more reasonable. Actually the damn thing's a steal, man! Then again, I gotta be honest with you here. I haven't even received the damn thing yet. It is still on its way. it could be a total piece of effing shee-it for all I know! Maybe there is a reason it didn't cost very much. But they said to write a review, so here I am. Kind of like the blind leading the blind, you know? Heck, chances are, this is probably a very good bang-bang machine, and I am looking forward to trying it out at my local shootin' range. Now this hee-yur company is actually very nice to deal with. You may think that should be expected, as well it probably should. But don't ever take that for granted. What is s'pozed to be, and what is, are two different things, right? Who among us that wasn't born yesterday doesn't know that? I have dealt with some real prick-assed gun dealers, you know? Fortunately, these guys aren't one of them. Meanwhile, I am gonna shoot me some Creedmoor, then shoot some more Creedmoor. After that, I may go stop by my local music store, buy a cowbell, and bang some cowbell. After a lunch break, I will probably bang some MORE COWBELL! LOL! That would be a lot cheaper, because I must warn you, Creedmoor ammo is not cheap my friend. Yes, it makes a big bang and all, but you are talking about over a buck a round, even if you buy ammo in bulk. Do you reload? Well then let me present you with a "Smart Guy Award." If you are a female reloader, I can come up with a "Smart Gal Award" too, 'cuz I ain't sexist at all. Yes sir, and yes ma'am, I know it is totally preposterous to review a product you haven't received yet, so I hope that you at least found all this drivel somewhat entertaining. Meanwhile, keep yer muzzles downrange, remember all that good weapons safety stuff they taught'cha, be sure and teach it to newer shooters yourself. Happy shooting! Thanks. - William "Bump Stock Bill" Summers, Avondale, Arizona USA
