Taylor/Uberti 1851 Navy CH Steel Frame Brass Trigger guard .36 Caliber 5" Barrel Black Powder Revolver
The 1851 Navy revolver, produced from 1851 to 1872, was the most famous model of the cap-and-ball era for good reasons. This 6-shot offers perfect balance, precise aim, and functional dependability. This 1851 navy model features a case hardened forged steel frame, blued parts, brass backstrap and triggerguard, octagonal barrel, and a varnished Navy grip. A conversion cylinder is available for this model that is a drop-in conversion to smokeless .38LC ammunition.
The 1851 Navy was a scaled up .36 caliber version of the 1849 Pocket Model. The handy, more powerful revolver immediately found a following among soldiers and civilians alike and was eventually adopted by both the U.S. and the British military.
