Beautiful. Best word to describe this pistol.
I own a 1873 peacemaker percussion, and this far surpasses that in regards to quality and craftsmanship.
The checkered grips just feel right in hand. Case hardening is throughout and beautiful.
Wide trigger with a smooth and crisp break.
Will be shooting this exclusively this weekend.
If your looking for a beautiful, superbly crafted, great revolver look no further.
Shipping was very quick I might add, and have me no problems.

I got mine just before July 4th holiday. The fit and finish are excellent. The timing perfect and the function flawless. With the engraved grips, I honestly don't think I have a better looking revolver, centerfire or cap and ball. It is accurate too. It's a pain to disassemble and clean, which is part of the charm. A Ruger 22/45 has its own charm to re-assemble for that matter, so, no complaints. If you're going to experience the era weapon, get the whole experience. And it damn well would work for self defense.

Beautiful gun! Have not shot it yet. I bought it for a conversion cylinder for 45LC. The cylinder fits perfectly and functions well.
