The new SCOUT V2 is very similar in design to the APEX centerfire rifle but without the interchangeable barrel capability. So for the hunter who wants a high quality single shot rifle in only one caliber the SCOUT V2 is the ideal choice. Sleek lightweight and easy to operate the SCOUT V2 sets a new standard for affordable single shot hunting rifles. The SCOUT V2 sports a 25” fluted barrel that is constructed of 416 grade stainless steel. The stocks are lightweight and 100% ambidextrous plus they feature CVA’s CrushZone Recoil pad – a real plus for heavier calibers like the .35 Whelen. The SCOUT V2 is also available in a “Compact” version (1” shorter stock and 2” shorter barrel) – which makes it perfect as a deer rifle for the smaller stature hunter or for anyone as an easy to maneuver “truck gun” or “brush gun. All SCOUT V2 rifles feature a genuine DuraSight ®DEAD-ON™ one-piece scope mount as standard equipment.

Caliber Dictionary
The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
The 6.5 Creedmoor was introduced by Hornady in 2008. Uniquely, it was designed for accuracy with long-range competition in mind. Using a 308 Winchester (30 TC, 300 Savage) case shortened to 1.920 inches, it will feed through the shortest existing bolt actions, but remains supersonic to well beyond 1000 yards. Standard velocity is a 140-grain .264-inch bullet at 2820 fps, also making it an effective but mild-recoiling medium-range hunting cartridge. The 6.5 Creedmoor was introduced with little fanfare, but after it started winning matches shooters took notice. This is an unusual phenomenon for a cartridge to suddenly "take off" years after its introduction, but that's the story of the 6.5 Creedmoor--after about 2016 it became one of the most-talked-about cartridges, with both rifle and ammunition offerings expanding rapidly. — Craig Boddington
