The Romeo1 shroud is designed to surround the Romeo1 and protect the housing of the optic from inadvertent damage. The Romeo1 is relatively durable but if it impacts a hard surface, it can cause the lens to break. This actually happened to one of our employees that carried his P320 with Romeo1 in an outside the waste holster when he accidentally hit it on a shelf while handling inventory.
