Outstanding improvement over the old style optical Chronographs . First lest wasted ammo, I point the Labradar at the target that I use for testing the group size and get both the grouping and the speed. Next is the ease of setup, no more trying line up the old device with the gun and back stop, now just use the aiming sight on the LabRadar to point it a the target. Then it has a cool mobile app for your phone or tablet that lets you control the unit remotely with Bluetooth. This unit is a great time and ammo saver, great reports configured any way you want. There are lots of pro that far out weigh the cons but it has a few cons, Battery drain is fast but they have a USB port so you can connect your portable phone charger and run the device from that. On my range, I have a narrow shooting lane and when the unit is set on high power it wont work because to many reflections but setting it o low lower worked perfect. Proper positioning of the muzzle is important and you and select the distance in the app but basically the muzzle has to br parallel to the Lab Radar which puts the nit out of arms reach on a bench so using the remote app on you phone or tablet makes it easier to us. And last there is a bit of a learning curve on how to setup and use this, but once you figure it out, it's easier and faster to us then the old style Chrony's, they instructions that come with it are well written and easy to follow but they don't go in to detail about the remote app.
