Daniel Defense DD4 M4A1 RIII Semi-Automatic Rifle .223 Remington 14.5" Barrel (1)-32Rd Magazine Black Finish
The M4A1 RIII - GWOT (Global War on Terror) AR15-style firearm was designed exclusively for those who served and is available only to military and law enforcement customers at special pricing with proof of service. It features a fully ambidextrous lower engraved with Global War on Terror that allows both left- and right-handed shooters to operate the bolt catch, safety selector, and magazine release without having to move or remove their dominant hand from the rifle's grip. Its GRIP-N-RIP Charging Handle is ambidextrous as well. Daniel Defense took the RIS II Picatinny quad rail used on their M4A1 original and replaced it with a 12.5-inch RIS III rail featuring M-LOK attachment for lighter weight and coated with a Flat Dark Earth Cerakote finish. They also added Magpul MBUS Pro flip-up sights and a Blue Force Gear Vickers Sling with QD sling swivels and an M-LOK QD sling mount. Like Danial Defense's standard M4A1 RIII, the GWOT rifle is built around a 14.5-inch Cold Hammer Forged Government Profile barrel with a permanently attached Daniel Defense Flash Suppressor. This rifle also comes with the ergonomic Daniel Defense Buttstock and Pistol Grip.

Caliber Dictionary
The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
Introduced in 1964, the 223 Remington is the civilian version of the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge. Although very similar to the 222 Remington it has a slightly longer case and a shorter neck, giving it greater powder capacity and thus higher velocity--which was necessary to meet military penetration requirements at longer range. NOTE: 223 Remington ammunition may be safely fired in any 5.56x45mm chamber, but 5.56x45mm ammunition SHOULD NOT BE USED in a 223 chamber! Standard is a 55-grain bullet at 3240 feet per second, with lighter bullets somewhat faster and heavier bullets a bit slower. The 223 is the most popular 22 centerfire today, and possiby the most popular centerfire cartridge. Ammunition choices are legion, as are choices in firearms. The 223 is an accurate cartridge ideally suited for varmint hunting out to beyond 300 yards, and with heavy-bullet loads designed for the purpose is used effectively by many deer hunters. — Craig Boddington
