Pinpoint Detonation. Expect dynamite results. In varmint calibers, AccuTip-V™ combines superb flight characteristics and match-grade accuracy with a design optimized for explosive on-game results. At impact, AccuTip’s gold polymer tip is driven rearward causing the thin jacket and soft lead core to fragment violently. First and foremost, though, it gets there precisely shot after shot – it’s the most accurate varmint bullet you can shoot.

The information below comes from our Gun Caliber Dictionary and is for
general reference only. It does not describe the specifications of this
particular item.
The 221 Remington Fireball was introduced in 1963 in Remington's XP-100 bolt-action pistol. Based on the 222 Remington case shortened to 1.4 inches, it was designed for maximum efficiency in a 12-inch pistol barrel as part of a growing interest in long-range handgunning. Velocity is a very credible 2995 feet per second with a 50-grain bullet, making it an excellent medium-range varmint cartridge in both handguns and rifles. Remington is the only manufacturer offering 221 Fireball ammo, but a variety of specialty handguns and some bolt-action rifles have been chambered to it.
