ArmaLite, Inc. is pleased to announce the AR-10A. This new option of the famous AR-10 will accept traditional ArmaLite “waffle” magazines and some 3rd party magazines.
ArmaLite customers asked for a choice, and that’s just what we’ve provided.
The AR-10A family of ArmaLite® firearms is functionally identical to our AR-10B family. Operation, controls, and maintenance are the same. However, the AR-10A family is designed to accept early ArmaLite AR-10 “Waffle” magazines and good quality magazines copied from them, instead of ArmaLite’s proprietary steel magazines that are used in our AR-10B family. Neither family of firearms will function correctly with the other family’s magazines.
The new A10A4 carbine is both rugged and flexible. It is perfectly suited to both military and law enforcement duty. Why? Take a look INSIDE the A10A4 Carbine THAT’S where it counts. It is a gas operated, magazine fed, semiautomatic produced to provide a level of accuracy, dependability, and durability that is not found in other rifles of similar design. This firearm provides a perfect platform for all sighting options with its forged flattop receiver with Mil Spec Picatinny rail and forward assist.
Its aircraft-grade forgings have NO die-cast or extruded parts in the receivers. The interior surfaces of the upper receivers are hard coat anodized and dry film lube per military spec. In fact, ALL aluminum parts are hard coat anodized per military spec.

The 308 Winchester (7.62x51 NATO) was introduced by in 1952. Based on the T65 experimental military cartridge, Winchester essentially jumped the gun with the civilian introduction; the 7.62x51 wasn't officially adopted (or named) until 1954. The military's intent was to create a shorter cartridge that would fit into a lighter version of the M1 Garand. This was successful beyond their wildest dreams: The 308 Winchester is essentially a 30-06 case greatly shortened to 2.015-inch, but it lags only about 100 feet per second behind the 30-06 in velocity, and with it shorter, more efficient case it tends to be more accurate. The 308 is suitable for any hunting for which the 30-06 is suitable--which means almost anything in the world short of large, dangerous game. The 308 is a standard chambering among most manufacturers and is found in all action types. Factory loads are legion, including a wide selection of very accurate match loads.
