If you don't reload, or shoot where they don't allow reloads, this is the best go-to factory ammo you can shoot through a .38 (or .357). It's also the best go-to factory ammo you can shoot through old blued or nickel plated classics like the Colt Python, Cold Diamondback, or Smith Models 10, 15, 19, and so on. That's because this ammo is true FMJ, with a really thick copper jacket instead of being copper plated. It won't leave lead build-up on the cylinder face, bore, and elsewhere, needing heavy scrubbing that can jeopardize blue or nickel finishes on the old classics. It's also very accurate for ammo not billed as "target."

Winchester 130-grain FMJ ammo was U.S. Air Force issue in the 1970's, shot through the Smith & Wesson Model 15 K-38 Combat Masterpiece revolver. To this day, this ammo shot through an old Smith revolver is a thing of accurate, pleasant beauty! When you must shoot factory ammo, you can't beat "Winchester White Box."
