The Glock 31 is about the size of a medium-frame .357 service revolver but much lighter, with 10/15/17 shots instead of 6. The G31 in .357 delivers the same legendary stopping power as the old Magnum with faster delivery of many more shots with less recoil and better trigger pull thanks to the modern Glock ergonomics. The 4th Generation of the Glock Safe Action Pistol brings revolutionary design changes to the world's most popular pistol. Externally, what is immediately apparent is the multiple back strap design of the frame, which can be instantly adapted to small, standard and large frame hands. Caliber Dictionary
The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
Introduced in 1994, the 357 SIG is a rimless cartridge for semiautomatic handguns created by necking down the 40 S&W case to take a 9mm (.355-inch). Gains in velocity--and thus penetration--without dramatic increase in recoil are significant, with a 115-grain bullet at 1500 feet per second and a 125-grain bullet at 1350 fps. The 357 SIG has been adopted by some law enforcement agencies, but has not yet become a popular sporting cartridge. It is available from most major handgun ammunition manufacturers. — Craig Boddington
