Powered by Crosman®'s Nitro Piston® Technology, the Shockwave™ Nitro Piston Powered Air Rifle combines a quiet, powerful shot with ultra-smooth cocking action and improved accuracy. Using a nitrogen-filled gas piston instead of the traditional coiled steel spring, the Shockwave NP cranks .22 caliber alloy pellets out at speeds of up to 950 fps for effective pest control and small game hunting. This new propulsion system delivers an extremely quiet shot (70% reduction in shot noise over leading models), and reduced recoil and vibration after the shot. The Nitro Piston also does not lose any velocity when cocked for long periods, nor suffer any adverse affect from temperature. The Shockwave combines this superior powerplant with a 2-stage adjustable trigger, an ergonomic synthetic stock, and a rifled steel barrel.
