The Z-Point features a hybrid power supply using a combination of battery and solar cell. By daylight, the solar cell supplies power to the red illuminated reticle and as the daylight fades, the electronic system switches over automatically to battery operation (3 volt lithium battery which is included). The basic brightness of the 4 MOA red dot can also be individually set and stored, after which it adjusts automatically to the surrounding light conditions.
