This DPMS A3 Flat-Top AR-15 Upper Receiver Assembly comes fully assembled and ready to install on any standard small pin, mil-spec lower receiver. This upper assembly's configuration incorporates characteristics that allow it to excel in a general purpose carbine role. Examples of such features include the Forged 7075-T6 Aluminum A3 Flat-Top upper for mounting optics and/or iron sights, and a 16" Heavy Barrel with 1 in 9" twist for stabilizing a wide range of projectile weights (up to about 69 grains). The true 5.56x45mm NATO chamber ensures that both commercial and surplus ammunition may be safely fired; while the M4 feed ramps contribute greatly to reliability. This upper comes complete and ready to shoot with heat resistant polymer GlacierGuard handguards, F-Marked A2 front sight assembly, bolt carrier group, charging handle, A2 flash hider, forward assist, shell deflector and ejection port door.
