One of the best improvements you can make on your AK47 styled rifle is to replace the standard hand guards with a modular hand guard system. The MOE hand guard is lightweight and solid with modular flexibility. Designed with versatility in mind, slots at the three, six, and nine o'clock positions allow the attachment of optional Picatinny rail sections for mounting tactical lights, slings, grips, and other accessories. The reinforced heat resistant polymer construction provides durability and houses the integral stainless steel heat shield. A replacement gas tube top cover is included.
This handguard is designed to fit AK-47 variants with a stamped receiver. It utilizes the original front handguard retaining cap, without sling loop, that came with your rifle. If your retaining cap has a sling loop, the loop will need to be removed to install the MOE AK Handguard. This handguard is compatible with the UltiMAK Optics Mount top cover and will accept the AK factory cleaning rod.
