The Remington 700 is still considered by many to be the most accurate out of the box rifle ever made and the standard by which all other bolt actions are measured by. The 5-R Bolt Action Rifle is built on the legendary tradition of the iconic Remington 700 and it does not disappoint, setting a new benchmark for accuracy and durability! It's chambered in .308 Winchester and has a 24" stainless steel barrel with a 1:10 twist. Featuring tactical/target style hammer forged 5R rifling it will provide you with amazing shot to shot consistency. The barrel is threaded 5/8x24 TPI to accept your suppressor. The internal magazine holds 3 rounds of hard hitting ammunition and it has an H-S Precision synthetic stock with full length aluminum bedding. The rock solid receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts and houses the X-Mark Pro Trigger that breaks like glass. It looks amazing with a black/green webbing finish on the stock and a polished stainless finish on the metal surfaces. Everything about the Remington 700 5-R is all about long range precession. The 300 Winchester Magnum, introduced in 1963, was the last of Winchester's family of (nominally) 30-06-length belted magnums based on the shortened 300 H&H case. It followed the 458, 264, and 338 Winchester Magnums, but has an unusually short neck to maximize powder capacity. Initial reception was mixed; critics faulted the short neck, and it was caught up in Winchester's unpopular post-1964 manufacturing shift. It took time, but the 300 Winchester Magnum has not just survived but prospered. Today it is the world's most popular cartridge that wears a "magnum" suffix. It is manufactured by all ammunition manufacturers, chambered by all riflemakers who have a suitable platform, and often employed by military snipers in the Special Operations community.
