Small and fast. It's all about having the right fit. And with a shorter length of pull and shorter barrel, the younger or smaller shooter can get the balance and stability that results in better shots.
Value. The XPR is a new way to look at bolt action value. The XPR is a rugged, reliable and precise bolt-action rifle built for the next generation of Winchester hunters. Combining proven concepts from the Model 70 with more efficient manufacturing processes means that the XPR is a superb hunting rifle at a more affordable price.
Tough and accurate. If you're looking for a more compact rifle that will stand up to the abuse you put yourself through in the field, the compact XPR is the rifle for you. The advanced polymer stock is built for superior grip in wet conditions and will stand up to the scratches and bumps you're bound to encounter on the stalk or on the walk to the stand. The matte blued finish is tough and non-reflective. The detachable box magazine is a built in feature that is typically an expensive after-market addition, allowing you to keep extra shells in a spare mag instead of jingling loose in your pocket.

Caliber Dictionary
The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
The 6.5 Creedmoor was introduced by Hornady in 2008. Uniquely, it was designed for accuracy with long-range competition in mind. Using a 308 Winchester (30 TC, 300 Savage) case shortened to 1.920 inches, it will feed through the shortest existing bolt actions, but remains supersonic to well beyond 1000 yards. Standard velocity is a 140-grain .264-inch bullet at 2820 fps, also making it an effective but mild-recoiling medium-range hunting cartridge. The 6.5 Creedmoor was introduced with little fanfare, but after it started winning matches shooters took notice. This is an unusual phenomenon for a cartridge to suddenly "take off" years after its introduction, but that's the story of the 6.5 Creedmoor--after about 2016 it became one of the most-talked-about cartridges, with both rifle and ammunition offerings expanding rapidly. — Craig Boddington
