Overall happy with rifle. Note: It is very loud, similar to firing a .25 Marauder without the shroud. I recommend aftermarket suppressor for backyard shooting. I'm only using cast ammunition for all testing (Lee .358 105 SWC). This rifle does not function well with the rounds sized to .357. However accuracy is good with the .358 (1 inch at 25 yds) and excellent with .359 (1/2 inch at 25 yds). On max hammer spring preload it is capable for firing these 108 grain cast rounds at 756 fps with and average of 745 fps over an eight shot spring (210 to 175 bar). The magazine retaining spring is designed to hold pellets at the narrowest point so the cast ammunition design will need a grease grove in the right spot to hold the bullet in the center of the magazine. The SWC profiles will not easily slip over this spring, so a toothpick must be used to depress the spring for loading. Side lever action is easy and smooth.
