I can't say that I know much about the Axis, I haven't studied them but I have owned Savages for several years. Including the 30-06, 270 and 22 WMA All them are very sharp shooting and no real problems were seen but a little problem with the safety in the axis 30.-06, adjusted and fixed in few minutes. As for the 22-250, is an awesome round, giving you a long distance varmint shooting overpowering the 22 magnum. The axis has an excellent price and are good rifles. Savage has made a good piece of firearm at the real low cost. Good for them!
