This full-size pistol is the latest variation in the XD series, now chambered in the popular 10mm round for more power in the highly accurate and reliable XD(M) platform. Available with a 5.25" barrel, the length is well-balanced when combined with the full-size grip frame for maximum controllability and comfort while shooting. Mega-Lock grip texturing, with the option of three interchangeable backstraps, allows for a customized fit that encourages a secure and natural feel in the palm of your hand. Comes with three 15+1 magazines.

The 10mm Automatic is a powerful semi auto cartridge. With the proper bullet in capable hands it is suitable for hunting medium size game at close range. Although it has been used on large dangerous game including Cape buffalo and the great bears it is not ideal for such game. The round is capable of pushing a 180 grain bullet to 1,300 FPS from a 5” barrel. This exceeds the power of a .357 magnum by a good margin and is closely on the heels of a .41 magnum. Bullets are .400” diameter and range from 125 grains to 220 grains. Once in service with the FBI, it is now considered excessive in recoil and stopping power for law enforcement use.
