This Glock 35 Gen 4 in 40SW caliber introduces revolutionary design changes that dominates the Limited Class of competitive Shooting Sports worldwide. Its modular back strap design lets you instantly customize the grip to adapt to an individual shooter's hand size. The surface of the frame employs a scientifically design, real-world-tested, Gen 4 rough textured technology. Internally, the dual recoil spring assembly substantially increases the life of the system. A reversible enlarged magazine catch, changeable in seconds, accommodates left or right-handed operators. The Glock Modular Optic System (MOS) simplifies the mounting of popular optics without costly custom machining of the pistol's slide. MOS has four plate options to comply with the specifications of some of the most trusted optic manufacturers in the industry, and a cover plate when no optic is mounted. MOS gives you the option of adding tall iron sights allowing the optic and the iron sights to co-witness. This pistol does not include the modular sight, just the bracket to mount it on.

Designed by Winchester and introduced by Winchester and Smith & Wesson in 1990, the 40 S&W was designed as a "compromise" semiautomatic pistol cartridge that would offer more performance than the 9mm Luger (9x19)…but would produce less recoil and allow higher magazine capacity than the 45 ACP. Few compromises in the firearms world have ever worked as well. From a manufacturing standpoint many pistols designed for the 9mm could be re-engineered to handle the larger cartridge; in a short time it has become a standard issue in the law enforcement community. Using a .400-inch bullet of from 135 to 180 grains from a .850-inch cae, the .40 S&W produces up to 1205 fps, and although recoil is greater than the 9mm, it is easier to shoot than the 45 ACP, and its greater velocity and smaller bullet diameter aid penetration. — Craig Boddington
