Browning BPS Field Pump Action Shotgun 12 Gauge 26" Barrel 4 Round 3" Chamber Matte Blued Steel
NEW -- A newly designed stock with a new look. Larger trigger guard. Matte blue finish barrel and forged/machined steel receiver, bottom ejection, satin finish walnut, pump action -- all with superior fit and new checkering surfaces.
Newly upgraded to feel perfect. The BPS has been upgraded for 2020, but you get to see it now. Browning's new BPS has a mix of a classic look with modern fit and handling. It starts with a new satin finished walnut stock, a matte blued barrel with a ventilated rib, as you would expect from a Browning. Then the stock has been slightly reconfigured to offer a faster, more natural feel. The Inflex recoil pad offers excellent comfort and the new checkering surfaces offer a superior grip. The trigger guard is slightly larger, offer an advantage when hunting with gloved hands.
The floating rib is a key advantage. The floating rib allows the rib and barrel to expand at different rates and move independently of each other. The floating rib prevents the point of impact shifts caused by barrel heating. The height of the rib gives a good view of your target.
Top to bottom, better function. Unique to the BPS is its bottom feed and ejection port. Shells are loaded and ejected from the bottom, leaving one less port for dirt and debris to enter the action. Likewise, a left-handed shooter won't end up ejecting empty hulls into their face. Combined with the top tang safety, this gun is truly ambidextrous.

particular item.
12 gauge is the most popular and useful shotgun gauges ever made. Suitable for everything from doves to geese. With sporting, military and law enforcement applications. Available in 2 ¾”, 3” and 3 ½”. The magnum lengths are generally preferred for waterfowl and turkey. Most major manufacturers produce guns and ammunition in a very wide septum for 12 gauge. Loads from ¾ oz. to 2 oz. are common with 1 1/8 oz Low base and 1 ¼ oz being the most common loadings. Target loads are normally around 1150 to 1200 FPS with High velocity lead loads tuning up 1350 FPS. Steel waterfowl loads tend to be loaded faster around 1500 FPS to compensate lower density shot. While the 2 ¾” loading is still the most popular ammunition made, nearly all current production guns have 3”or 3 ½” chambers. The shorter ammunition can be safely fired in longer chambers, but not all magnum semiautomatics will function with shorter shotshells.
