C4V (TiN) provides excellent wear resistance with a hardness of 2600 Vickers. C4V is a (PVD) coating (TiN), however one look at C4V and you will know this is not your average TiN. It has a coefficient of friction 0.4 and only 2 microns thick making it a major improvement over MILSPEC. Iron City’s enhanced bolt made of carpenter 158 is coated to match. Their G2 carrier weighs only 6.8 oz.
