This is a used rifle chambered in the powerful .425 Express cartrage. This is a rare find in this quality Mark-X rifle made in England on a CZ reciever.



Fully glass bedded, Barrel has a huge seconary recoil lug also glass bedded.

The .425 Express cartridge was designed in 1987 for African hunts by Cameron Hopkins and Whit Collins along with a prototype rifle for this patron John French.The initial model of the weapon for the .425 Express cartridge was a Ruger model 77. The cartridge is based on a slightly shortened .300 Winchester Magnum case. This can propel a 400 grain bullet at 2400 FPS and fits in a standard long action. Savage also chambered a number of rifle in .425 Express.



Reloading dies are avaiable from Redding and C&H. Brass is available from several sourses and can also be formed from belted magnum brass.
