Weatherby Mark V Backcountry 2.0 Ti, chambered in 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum. Weighing only 5.6 lbs, the Mark V Backcountry 2.0 Ti is bedded on a Peak 44 Blacktooth aerospace-grade exposed carbon fiber stock with a 3DHEX recoil pad. The Mark V Backcountry 2.0 Ti action has been left as raw titanium to show off the precise machining while the bolt and barrel are protected by a Cerakote finish to increase resistance to wear, corrosion, and chemicals while improving impact strength and hardness. To reduce weight and increase smoothness, the Backcountry 2.0 Ti large radius bolt has been deeply fluted. For rapid chambering the bolt has a 54 degree throw. For sub-MOA accuracy a 26" fluted, lightweight and fast-cooling match barrel has been mated to the action. Perceived recoil is further reduced by the Accubrake ST muzzle brake. 30 symmetrically-spaced ports redirect muzzle gases to help tame the recoil of magnum loads.
