Product Summary

Strasser Straight Pull Rifle RS 14 Evolution Standard 300 Winchester Mag 24" Thread Barrel Grade 1 European Walnut Stock

2+1 Rounds also available an optional 5 round extended magazine.

The STRASSER RS 14 EVOLUTION Standard comes in Grade 1 European Walnut Stock, flanked by black side plates with the lettering “RS 14 EVOLUTION” and the boxlock action model in black with a interchangeable barrel. The integrated Picatinny rail the system becomes even more flexible when attaching scopes, regardless of their size and weight. In addition, this integral design improves the casing and thus optimizes the vibration characteristics of the barrel. Furthermore, the parts of the approved RS trigger are equipped with “DIAMOND-LIKE CARBON” DLC-coating, which is particularly resilient and very low in friction. This further improves the trigger characteristics and makes the gun the top performer in its class. While some European rifle makers think you should pay extra for a walnut stock and scope mounting system, we think you deserve them as standard.

There are plenty of rifles that lay claim to excellence, but once you handle the RS14 Evolution, you’ll know why it’s the only hunting rifle you’ll ever need. Strasser rifles are built in Austria, and embody the very best of old-world craftsmanship, teamed with cutting-edge engineering.

Our straight pull bolt is faster and stronger than any conventional rifle, while its removable trigger pack is adjustable by the user without any tools. Everything you need to change calibers is on board the gun—barrels can be exchanged in less than two minutes, and will return to zero.

The Strasser Walnut stocks have a fine oil finish which is far superior to any other type of finish, since scratched, dings or dents in a oil finished stock usually can be repaired using True Oil. Since no stain is used on natural Strasser walnut stocks, if gouges needs to be sanded, you can simply work on that small area and apply the True oil in the one spot, for dents, they usually can be raised with a damp face cloth placed over the dent and using a clothes stream iron applied to the dent will usually raise the dent, for scratches, normally 0000 steel wool will remove them and then a light coat of True oil over them will bring the stock back to new condition. This repair process only works on oil finish stocks.

Caliber Dictionary

The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
The 300 Winchester Magnum, introduced in 1963, was the last of Winchester's family of (nominally) 30-06-length belted magnums based on the shortened 300 H&H case. It followed the 458, 264, and 338 Winchester Magnums, but has an unusually short neck to maximize powder capacity. Initial reception was mixed; critics faulted the short neck, and it was caught up in Winchester's unpopular post-1964 manufacturing shift. It took time, but the 300 Winchester Magnum has not just survived but prospered. Today it is the world's most popular cartridge that wears a "magnum" suffix. It is manufactured by all ammunition manufacturers, chambered by all riflemakers who have a suitable platform, and often employed by military snipers in the Special Operations community. Though not the fastest "fast 30-caliber" it is fast, accurate, incredibly available, and well-suited to virtually all non-dangerous game hunting throughout the world. — Craig Boddington
