Browning X-Bolt Mountain Pro Bolt Action Rifle .28 Nosler 26" Sporter Barrel (1)-3Rd Magazine Black Carbon Fiber Stock With Gray & Tan Accents Tungsten Cerakote Finish
A top tier hunting rifle. Browning is delving into semi-custom rifle production with the new X-Bolt Mountain Pro. What classifies the X-Bolt Mountain Pro as a ''semi-custom rifle'' is the level of specialized finishing touches and higher end construction above the already top-tier X-Bolt family of hunting rifles. First, the X-Bolt Mountain Pro features a true carbon fiber stock — now lighter than previous versions — making it extremely lightweight and rigid. The stock is filled with a noise-dampening foam.
Cerakote durability. The Cerakote finish on the stainless steel action and barrel is also on the exterior of the stock for added protection. The barrel features a new proprietary lapping process to provide consistent accuracy and easier bore cleaning, avoiding the need for a time-consuming break-in process. Other features include a spiral fluted bolt and bolt knob, threaded muzzle with our new Recoil Hawg muzzle brake that reduces felt recoil up to 77% (depending on caliber), effectively taming your favorite magnum cartridges.

The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
The 28 Nosler is Nosler Bullets' second proprietary cartridge, following the 26 Nosler in 2015. It is based on the 26 Nosler necked up to 7mm, thus based on the 7mm Remington Ultra Magnum case shortened…which was based on the 404 Jeffery case. Case length is 2.590 inches, allowing it to be housed in standard (30-06-length) actions. The base diameter is .550-inch, with the rim slightly rebated to .543-inch. The 28 Nosler has been the most popular of the Nosler series. It is not as overbore capacity as the 7mm RUM, making it more efficient and allowing a greater variety of propellants. With a 26-inch barrel velocity of up to 3300 feet per second is possible with a 160-grain bullet, making it, as Nosler describes it, "the most powerful 7mm in the world." Nosler is the primary source for ammunition, but in addition to Nosler rifles it has been chambered in numerous custom and semi-custom rifles. — Craig Boddington
