Beretta A400 XTREME Plus Ko Semi-Automatic Shotgun 20 Gauge 3" Chamber 28" Barrel 3 Round Capacity Bead Sights Mossy Oak Bottomland Camouflage Synthetic Finish
Beretta's A400 Xtreme semiauto shotgun is ideal for upland or waterfowl hunting as well as target shooting. The action gives fast follow-up shots and is equipped with built-in rails, so you can easily mount optics. The unique Blink technology, shoots 36 percent quicker than any other type of semiauto shotgun. Its synthetic stock combines Beretta's Kick-Off system with an ultra-soft Micro-Core butt-pad, to minimize recoil and is designed to recoil parallel to the cheek mount. The OptimaBore HP barrel's finish offers superior resistance to the elements, including water, powder, sand and salt spray. The A400 Xtreme Plus features Beretta's exclusive Steelium Plus barrel, providing the best patterning possible from all hunting loads, along with further felt recoil mitigation. The barrel also utilizes a step rib with an integral mid-bead and fiber optic front bead, and lengthened forcing cones. Its stock features a soft comb, which reduces the felt recoil imparted to the shooter's cheek even further. The A400 Xtreme Plus also has an enlarged loading port, extended charging handle and bolt release, and Aqua Technology which is a protective coating to withstand the harshest elements. This model has a 28" barrel with five (5) black extended Optima HP choke tubes, Mossy Oak Bottomland stock and receiver.

The information below comes from our Gun Caliber Dictionary and is for
general reference only. It does not describe the specifications of this
particular item.
The 20-gauge follows the 12-gauge as America's second-most popular shotgun gauge. And, with modern shotshells, continues to gain ground. The 20-gauge has a bore diameter of .615-inch, with modern shells in either 2 3/4 "standard" or 3-inch "magnum" length. Most modern shotguns are chambered to handle both. Payloads vary from light-recoiling 5/8-ounce loads all the way to heavy turkey loads carrying 1 5/16 ounces of shot. Standard 2 3/4" loads for targets and upland birds are normally 7/8 or one ounce. At its very best the 20-gauge does not have the capability of a 12-gauge...but with modern shot, wad columns, and chokes it doesn't give up much, and it can be built into a much lighter shotgun developing less recoil. Virtually all manufacturers offer 20-gauge guns, and they are available in all action types and for virtually all shotgunning sports. The 20-gauge joins the 12, 28, and .410 as one of four events in skeet competition, and is becoming increasingly popular for sporting clays.
