These Leupold BackCountry Scope bases are made from a single piece of aircraft grade 7075-T6 aluminum for light weight and strength with an anodized finish to last hunt after hunt. These medium height bases will mount most scopes with objective diameters of 40mm or less. The precision machining and quality finish will provide you with lightweight and rugged performance for a lifetime. They provide a direct mount to the rifle to eliminate any chance or play between the scope base and rings since they are a solid base that mounts directly on the rifle.
