The first rounds through a Ruger American in 22WRM indicate that it has potential to be a sub MOA rifle with the right ammo. The rear flat of the bolt handle locks up firmly with the reciever and the trigger is exceptional. The floated barrel and bedded reciever compensate for the flexibility of a synthetic stock.
The rotary magazine fits flush in the stock and operates flawlessly..The mag release is a plastic tab which protrudes from the bottom of the reciever behind the magazine. I would prefer if this were shorter or a flush button, but it is a cleaner arangement than most magazine fed rifles.
While the first rounds showed a large dispersion, each successive group decreased in size. After 50 rounds, the rifle shot 1.1” groups at 100 meters with 30gr Hornady VMax, and 1.0” groups with 40 gr CCI Gamepoint.
This rifle lives up to its advertising and the price at Wholesale Hunter is the best to be found.
