Starting at just 5.7 lbs the Mark V High Country was purpose built to be a lightweight, versatile mountain rifle. It features Peak 44 Bastion carbon fiber stock which weights only 24 ounces. The Bastion has a shooter friendly vertical grip and features dual front swivel studs for multiple attachments. Equipped with an Accubrake and 3DHEX Recoil pad, the High Country manages recoil extremely well, even with Weatherby's Historic magnum cartidges. This is the rifle you want when hiking to the furthest depths of the high Country.

The 6.5 Weatherby RPM is based on a lengthened version of the existing 284 Winchester. This cartridge has a rebated rim, making it compatible with standard 30-06 bolt faces and reloading equipment. However, the large body diameter, low body taper, and 35-degree shoulder mean that case capacity is greatly increased, leading to higher velocities. In addition, bullet innovation in the 6.5mm category are highly efficient with less drop and wind deflection than many heavier calibers.
