The Super Duty Mod1 Rifle improves upon the renowned Geissele Super Duty with the addition of a HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD 556 suppressor-ready muzzle device, an updated MK16 Super Modular Rail with press-fit stainless steel Quick Disconnect (QD) inserts, an A17 Grip that presents a more ergonomic grip angle and a QD Sling Mount Endplate. The 14.50" rifle chambered in 5.56mm features a Nano weapon-coated HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD muzzle device mounted to a 14.50" Manganese Phosphate coated, Cold Hammer Forged, Chrome Lined, 1-7" twist barrel. Features SSA-E X with Lightning Bow trigger; Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group (BCG); Super Duty lower is precision machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and features Geissele Ultra Duty Lower Parts Kit featuring our Ambidextrous Super Configurable safety and Ultra Precision trigger guard. A high-quality mil-spec Geissele Buffer Tube with a Super-42 in H2 buffer ensures this rifle is properly tuned out of the box; 13.50" MK16 Super Modular Rail; Quick Disconnect (QD) Sling Mount Endplate allows for fast interfacing of slings quipped with QD pushbutton mounts to the lower receiver and the B5 Systems Enhanced Sopmod Stock completes the package and an Airborne Charging Handle ensures smooth and reliable operation.

Introduced in 1964, the 223 Remington is the civilian version of the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge. Although very similar to the 222 Remington it has a slightly longer case and a shorter neck, giving it greater powder capacity and thus higher velocity--which was necessary to meet military penetration requirements at longer range. NOTE: 223 Remington ammunition may be safely fired in any 5.56x45mm chamber, but 5.56x45mm ammunition SHOULD NOT BE USED in a 223 chamber! Standard is a 55-grain bullet at 3240 feet per second, with lighter bullets somewhat faster and heavier bullets a bit slower. The 223 is the most popular 22 centerfire today, and possiby the most popular centerfire cartridge. Ammunition choices are legion, as are choices in firearms. The 223 is an accurate cartridge ideally suited for varmint hunting out to beyond 300 yards, and with heavy-bullet loads designed for the purpose is used effectively by many deer hunters. — Craig Boddington
