Features a celebration of Ruger's 75th Anniversary with a laser engraved logo on top of the slide, packaged in a throwback-styled, 75th Anniversary printed box and includes a 75th Anniversary decal.
Compact and lightweight, the LCP® MAX continues to be the definitive pocket-sized personal protection pistol.
Matte stainless steel slide features polished sides resulting in crisp cocking serrations.
Standard 10-round magazine ships with flush floorplate installed. 12-round magazines available at ShopRuger.com.
Textured grip frame provides a secure and comfortable grip. Utilizing the 12-round magazine, or included finger grip extension floorplate with the 10-round magazine, allows most shooters a full-firing grip.
Slide and frame surfaces and edges are smooth for comfortable carry and handling.
Tritium front sight with white outline makes for fast acquisition in all light conditions.
Rear sight features a generous u-notch for easy alignment and a square front face for one-handed cocking. Sight dovetails are sized to accept aftermarket Bodyguard-pattern sights.
Improved magazine feed lips, feed ramp, extractor, and barrel cam geometries.
Patented barrel cam geometry delays unlocking, slows the slide, and ultimately reduces felt recoil compared to other .380 Auto pistols.
Utilizes Ruger's safe, reliable and proven Secure Action™ fire-control system that combines a protected internal hammer with a bladed-safety trigger. The trigger has a short, smooth pull, clean break and positive reset.
Reversible magazine release.
Also includes: one, 10-round magazine; soft pocket holster; magazine loader.
The information below comes from our Gun Caliber Dictionary and is for
general reference only. It does not describe the specifications of this
particular item.
Designed by John Browning, the 380 ACP (9mm Browning Short, 9x17) was introduced by Colt in 1908 and by FN in Europe in 1912. The 380 ACP is much more potent than the 32 ACP and is essentially the world-standard personal defense cartridge for pocket and purse-sized semiautomatic pistols. Bullet diameter is 9mm (.356-inch) with case length of .68-inch. Standard bullet weights vary, but most common are bullets of 85 to 95 grains at velocities from around 900 to 1000 feet per second. More important is recent bullet technology, with modern expanding bullets offering greatly enhanced performance over the full metal jacket bullets of John Browning's day. 380 ACP ammunition is offered by all makers of pistol ammo, and the cartridge is chambered by virtually all makers of small to mid-sized pistols. The 380 ACP is comfortable to shoot in medium-sized pistols, but the smallest 380s currently available can be snappy for inexperienced shooters.
