Shooting and hunting with muzzleloaders has always had one big drawback: cleaning the dirty, corrosive mess of black powder at the end of the day. Many hunters who might otherwise have enjoyed an extended season took a pass rather than scrub a filthy muzzleloader.
Savage has changed all that with the 10ML-II. It's versatile. You choose the propellant. Use smokeless powder, black powder, Pyrodex or other black powder substitutes. This .50 caliber rifle, with 209 primer ignition, can deliver 1 1/2" groups at 100 yards and produces velocities exceeding 2,300 fps with more than 3,000 ft lbs of knock down energy. And, if you use smokeless powder, you won't have to clean it before sundown.
