I have had one 1883 Encore Pro Hunter frame for a long time and 5 pro hunter barrels. It is used often and one of my favorite guns to hunt with. I ordered this new one just to go with other barrels and to make sure I had a backup if something happened to one. I really like the feel of these guns. They carry good in one hand while walking. It has good balance for me and I can hold this gun steadier than most when aiming. My daughter and a few of my friends have one of these and really like them. It would help if there was a little texture around the thumb hole grip on the butt stock, its pretty slick.
