The Gold Century Model GC1019 Professional Metal Detector is a top quality metal detector. The advanced features of this unit will allow you to find treasure that others have missed! The Carbon Fiber lower shaft and unbreakable Nylon connecting hardware, significantly increasing the sensitivity of this unit by keeping all unnecessary metal parts as far from the detection coil as possible. The extendable shaft has dual locks, a cam lock and detent locks that will ensure a solid feel when extended.
A large LED display indicates the type of object found. It can distinguish the old Wheat Penney from the new Zinc type. It will also distinguish a Dime, nickel, quarter or half Dollar as well as nails, bottle tops, pull tops and other objects. The display will also indicate the signal strength, Sensitivity setting, Discrimination settings and Notch Filter settings.
The waterproof coil will allow you search in shallow water at the beach where most Gold rings are found.
It can be used in several modes :
All metal mode - Just that, any metal object will be detected. Also functions as pin pointing mode by emitting a steady tone that gets louder the closer you are to the target center. Motion is no required in this mode. The sensitivity is fully adjustable. Ground balance can be pre- set or manually adjusted.
Auto Notch Filter - In this mode the detector will automatically display the type of object found. The sensitivity level is fully adjustable. The ground Balance is fully automatic in this mode.
Selective Notch Filter - In this mode the detector can be set in include or exclude any object type or combination of types. Example: It could be set just to find 1/2 Dollars and ignore every thing else or find just any coins and nothing else or just simple exclude Pull tops and show every thing else. Endless combinations are possible. The sensitivity level is fully adjustable. The ground Balance is fully automatic in this mode.
Surface Elimination mode. This is an advanced feature not found on our other models. When activated in conjunction with any of the operating modes above it will ignore metal trash on the surface and still detect objects underneath.
