Speer Gold Dot LE Duty 9mm Luger 124 Grain Jacketed Hollow Point Box of 50 Ammunition
Speer's 9mm Luger LE Gold Dot line of JHP defense ammunition is a great personal defense load with its reputation for barrier penetration.
Speer Gold Dot Ammunition is loaded with bonded core bullets and is designed for critical defense needs.
Bonding the jacket to the core means the elimination of core-jacket separation and superior weight retention making it more effective than traditional hollow-point bullets in the event that the bullet encounters bone or heavy clothing upon entry. Speer's Gold Dot ammunition is a market share leader in the law enforcement community because of its great performance in the FBI test protocols. It performs especially well in being able to retain its mass when penetrating through auto-glass which is one of the most difficult portions of the FBI test.
Designed for Law Enforcement and occasionally made available to the general public through police trade-ins; this ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable nickel-plated brass cases.

The information below comes from our Gun Caliber Dictionary and is for
general reference only. It does not describe the specifications of this
particular item.
The 9mm Luger (9X19mm, Parabellum, P08) was developed in Germany in 1902. Widely used in both world wars, it is the most popular pistol cartridge in the world, now widely used by innumerable law enforcement agencies and militaries (including our own) in both pistols and submachineguns. The controversy over its "stopping power" will never go away, but its attribute is that it is much easier to shoot accurately than larger cartridges with greater power...but more recoil. Advancements in bullet design for law enforcement and personal defense have narrowed the gap considerably. The 9mm Luger is a world standard, chambered by virtually all makers of semiautomatic pistols, with a myriad of factory loads. The most standard is probably a 115-grain load at 1160 fps, with common bullet weights ranging from 95 to 147 grains, and +P loads at higher velocity.
