This protective cover by EOTech is machined from rugged aerospace aluminum, designed to protect the MRDS (Mini Red Dot Sight) during combat. The military specifications require that the red dot sight accessory protect the MRDS, even if you drop it from a meter high. The EO Tech MRDS Protective Aluminum Shroud can be mounted atop an ACOG sight on a fully loaded M4 carbine. These EO Tech red dot sight accessories will also work in conjunction with all EOTech mounts for the MRDS. Extended mounting screws designed for use with the EO-Tech MRDS Aluminum Sight Cover are already provided with the red dot sight.
